Why Are Spiritual People So Broke?

 

So, I have been asking myself why spiritual people are so broke.

They are connected to source, god, Buddha, who ever it is they are connected to.
They are hearing the messages for the actions they are to be taking.

Are they not taking the actions? Well sometimes they aren’t.
Are they not following through? Well sometimes they aren’t.
Are they stopping when they receive a part in the process that feels bad, because being aligned means only taking actions that feel good? Bingo!

This is what it was for us and this is what I believe it is for other spiritual people.

Most of us connected to source are so aligned and so determined to stay aligned that we never take actions that feel anything other than aligned. Which is great to keep your alignment, however, here is where the confusion comes in. Because, what if you’re not always aligned. What if your personality gets in the way and you don’t realize that you’re not aligned.

Let me use our experience as an example.

Before I get into it, let me reassure you of something. I know your personality is going to try and convince you that what I am saying is because I am trying to sell you. Well know that I am not trying to sell to you, I am using this as an example of why we get the meaning behind spiritual people being broke. This was our lesson and I’m sharing it with you.

Our friends came to us 6 months ago with an opportunity to join them in a business. We listened to them. We felt how we felt while we were listening. We felt bad so we said No! Made sense to us, didn’t make sense to them, but being who they are and open to others taking their own journey they kept on moving down their path, while keeping in touch with us and hearing how we were going.

So 6 months on they came to us and said “so, we made this much last month what did you do?”  Our first reaction was Crap. Not that much.

Now we had spent the 6 months judging these friends of ours as being too money driven, not spiritual enough, not connected to source, and every other judgment we could place on them, because they were doing something that was making them money. And when they came to us to share how much they had made over the last 6 months compared to what we had done, we took a step back outside our judgment of who they were and what we thought they were doing and asked ourselves, why are we so broke?

What is it really that’s going on with us? Because here are two people, we love them dearly, they are there for us no matter what and we thought what we were doing was right and what they were doing was wrong and yet the financial abundance they were experiencing was above and beyond what we were.

So a question we asked ourselves was, “Who were the people aligned the ones taking actions and creating abundance and joy or the ones taking actions and not creating abundance and joy?”
 
At that time we took a few days to move into our hearts and asked what is it about us that wants to be broke.

Fear?

Fear of what, fear of failure? Too easy. If it was a fear of failure then we would do everything we could to succeed and we weren’t. So it’s not a fear of failure. People who are afraid of failing excel to keep as far away from the fear as they can.

Mmmm so what could it be? We went through so many options, not connected enough, not taking enough actions, not hearing the messages, judging the messages that are coming through, not taking aligned actions. It was all of those things, but the one thing that really got us where it hurt was a Fear of SUCCESS.

We weren’t successful and everything we were doing wasn’t creating a success, which means that some how in some way we were sabotaging our selves unconsciously to fail so we didn’t succeed.

Might seem a tad stupid, but think about it. What if you were a success? What if you had money, fame, holidays, healthy food, happy life, happy children, happy partners, then what?

All of a sudden all of your excuses, all of your reasons to be stuck are gone.

You have no reason to live a limited life. You have no reason to live in a shit shack. You have no reason to drive that old bomb that you think is saving the environment but really it’s not. You have no reason to wear second hand shabby clothes, which really if you had the money you wouldn’t wear.

All of a sudden you have no reason to live the life you have been living because you have to live it and all of a sudden all the excuses and reasons for not taking actions, not taking that holiday, not buying that new car are gone out the window.

Spiritual people we have met are stuck. They are stuck in the land of lala. They are stuck in the land of “I’m connected so I’m better than you cause your not”.

They are stuck in the belief that living a limited life is what is expected. If you live a limited life without any of the materialistic items you desire then you are connected. Well here’s a rock to the head for you.

You not connected at all. There is no rule book that says life is meant to be limited. Life is meant to be abundant. We are meant to have the fast cars, big houses, long trips away, happiness, joy and all of the emotions in between.

A client said to me today after a session with us – “Looking back now I really do know that the fear was so much stronger, the gratefulness was forced and even though I meant it in my head, I didn’t really feel it.”

She didn’t feel it because all of her beliefs said she wasn’t allowed to feel it. Oh she knew consciously that feeling gratitude is what you are meant to feel but she didn’t actually feel it.

How are all these beliefs of what you aren’t allowed to do as a spiritual person working for you?

Spiritual people, that we know, are so far outside of the reality of the world that they just don’t get what it means to live in this world.

I know that’s where we were. We were so evolved inside our spiritual self that we were disconnected from the real world.

The up side to that is we feel amazing, clear, open and aligned.

The down side is we were broke, actually unhappy and frustrated. And the only way to not feel like that was to connect even higher to get as far away from those emotions as possible so it looked like we were feeling amazing, clear, open and aligned.

You see we weren’t really feeling those emotions. When we actually came back down to earth we were really feeling crap, down, low, depressed, unhappy. The connection we had to source was creating a false sense of joy. 

Well how’s that all working for you? Are you rich, really emotionally happy, really aligned with whom you are and your true power in this realm. Or are you really so high up that your head is in the clouds and you don’t really see what’s falling apart around you. Or maybe you are starting to see the ramifications of your actions and your head is still stuck in the clouds because you are holding yourself up there.

Well I am here to tell you that your head has to come out. You have to come back down to earth.

You have to get real about what it means to be living now here on this earth. Because no matter how much you try and stay up in the clouds you don’t live there you live here.

Esther Hicks is one of the most connected people around at the moment and she is not only grounded and on this earth with her connection she is also loaded with cash and living an amazing life. 

Maybe being so high up and so connected worked at one point, it worked for us because it created the foundations for us being able to channel. It created the strong foundations for us to be able to see who you are, see what you are doing and see who we are and to see what we are doing.

Here I introduce the other reason spiritual people are broke.

We are really good at what we do and yet we haven’t been getting paid for our services.

Now for us there has also been a self worth issue. We do what we do because we love to do it. Our hearts sing when we take someone from being in a dark empty place to a place of lightness and joy. We do it because we love seeing people shine. We do what we do because we want people to be the best they can be and really be who they are in their truth aligned with their power.

But we felt guilty about charging people for our services. We felt guilty about saying you have to pay us to experience our love. We felt guilty asking people for money when all we did was share our love with them.

Because according to society and our up bringing our love is supposed to be unconditional, love is meant to be an unconditional feeling so how can we put a condition on it like a dollar value when our love is free.

This wasn’t a hard one to pass through. For us it was realizing that we loved ourselves more. We loved our family more and that our love for ourselves was worth more than our love for others.

Now this might sound like a selfish way to be and just so you know we completely advocate being selfish. We are firm believers that being selfish is the way to receive what you want.

This life is for you and about you. Not anyone else. As long as your actions are aligned with you, those around you will feel grateful. It’s when your actions aren’t aligned with you that people around you resent you for the actions you take because you resent yourself.

So far I have covered fear of success, being disconnected to the earth and self worth as being the issues for spiritual people being broke. Well there is one more which ties them all together and if you can get this as well as the others then you are well on your way to becoming an abundant spiritual being.

Well actually there are two more and the first one is simple. You are taking the same actions over and over and expecting a different result. It’s time to take new actions be open to new ideas, new ways of creating abundance.

The last and it really is the most important. This one is the icing on the cake. If you can really get this into your heart and mind then you really can become a success at anything you do.

Spiritual people live in their right hand side of the brain, we lived there, and we know you do too. Why? Because it feels warm and fuzzy and its soft and fluffy where we can use our intuition and life is meant to be full of roses. It’s the head in the clouds and only in the clouds issue.

The place where all the nasty people that make all the nasty money is on the earth. And they are really bad men and women who aren’t aligned with their truth because anyone that earns money can’t be connected to source because earning money is an action that is taken in the left side of your brain and as a spiritual person if you are in your left side then you aren’t in your right.

Well how’s that working for you? Are you rich living in the right side of your brain?

The issue for spiritual people and it was the issue for us and the reason we realized we had to say yes to our friends is that yucky left hand side is all business and logic and boring and doesn’t feel nice.

So when we see opportunities we evaluate them from our right hand side of the brain, where as we know spiritual people live and if they feel bad we don’t do them.

When you live in your right side nothing in the left side is going to feel good if you are looking at it from up in the clouds. Nothing to do with the left side grounded aspect of life is going to feel good because you are so disconnected from taking the actions in the left side that only the right side feels good.

So for those of you who have written a book and don’t get why it’s not selling. All the actions you have to take to sell it are in the left hand side and none of them feel good so you don’t take them. Ie, submitting your book to publishers, negotiating your pay with them, marketing your book, getting an online presence, cold calling. It’s all left brain actions that all feel terrible from the right side so you don’t take them.

Also did I mention that when you add to living in the right side, with a fear of success, self worth issues, taking the same actions over and over without change and being disconnected from the earth you have a wonderful cake of inability to make money.

We see it time and time again with our clients – you have two sides of your brain – right and left and the opportunity now is for spiritual people to open the pathways to both and integrate both left and right into one brain.

By integrating you will be able to hear the messages of the actions to take and move easily into taking those actions regardless of what they are because you have integrated and allowed actions from the left and right side to blend together.

For us, we have integrated our left and right brains together. We now are being paid on one hand with the channeling and we are also being paid on the other hand with the online networking business we have.

We are using left brain actions to bring people to our channeling business and we are using our right brain abilities to hear the actions to take for our left brain business.

The time is over the spiritual people to live only in the connected realm. The time is now for spiritual people to come back down to earth and live on the earth and live that abundant life you so deserve to live.

It might be one of these reasons it might be all of these reasons, for those of you believing it’s none of these reasons get your head out of the clouds and read the article again.
